That's right, if I can't make my weigh- in I had to pay anyway as if I'm actually seeing a doctor. This is a weight program not a doctor visit! This program is a complete waste. I've never seen a doctor and I'm basically paying $8. I can do that at home. I am not getting anything else for my money. I feel completely duped because no one explained to me that after I paid $1. So that bag you leave with after the first appointment is the last . Order Medi- fast and drink the shakes during the day and eat a lean & green meal. Works just as well and you won't get duped into this money sucking program. The Franchisee makes money and you get fleeced!! The . They made 3 attempts to take blood, and I ended up throwing up in the bathroom from dizziness from all the sticks. They sent me home driving myself while I was dizzy. I went to a local hospital for an EKG out of fear and it proved normal. I complained to Medi Weightloss and never heard back. Meanwhile they took a few hundred dollars from me. Never again. I have done this diet twice and admit that in the beginning the weight flies off. I lost 4. 5lbs in 2 1/2 months and as soon as I went off the appetite suppressant I wanted to eat my shoes! The second time I started without appetite suppressant and I still lost weight although I got nothing from the B1. I had to load up on water with electrolytes as I was getting so light headed I wanted to hit the floor. The other problem is as soon as you add anything like a sweet potato or GOD forbid a piece of whole wheat bread, you put on 1. The premise of this diet is good as it tells you to remove sugar and any processed food but you can do this on your own. My suggestion is to cut out the first week of only protein as it is very hard on the kidneys, Simply start by removing ALL sugars and eat less than 1. I have been on this diet before and I was 5'7. I have had a lot of health problems since then. I was no longer on the diet heated a bit, had a total hysterectomy, and recently lower back surgery. I just restarted the program 3 days ago and I now have lower leg edema in my ankles, and calfs. I went in for my it's weekly shot after my first appt and was told that I was not drinking enough water. Today I increased my water to 6- 7 8oz. I also take spironalactone. Can anyone encourage me. Or tell me a similar story that ended with success? I joined the program in West Hartford and prepaid for 8 weeks. The program itself can work but you really need to learn to do portion control. Its about learning better eating habits and making the right choices of food. I had done another program a few years earlier and was very satisfied with the results and wanted to do a similar program that was closer to home. I was very unhappy with the staff at this franchise. You do not get the support you need, you have to listen about their issues, there are major Hippa violations going on also. I complained to the owner of this franchise and got a response 8 days later saying she was away and would try to get to her email when she got back. I never heard anything from her or the corporate offices. You would think that they would give you a call if they were really concerned about the well being and happiness of their clients. People go to these types of places for support- you will not get that in this franchise. I would not go to this Franchise. FYI, you do NOT have to take the appetite suppressant. We met with the nutritionist on our first visit (and as needed for subsequent visits) and she explained everything and we went over what foods would work for us. She had the packaging for a lot of products as examples. Since then we have even brought in packaging for items and recipes we've found that work for her to share with others. At our particular clinic we were given a months worth of multi- vitamin, fat burner, Omega 3 and calcium when we started. When we ran out we just found our own replacements at the store. The techs even suggested it because it's cheaper. They have NEVER made us feel like we have to buy any of their products. As for the cost, for my husband and I it is worth the cost. Our health is worth it. To save on cost we are now going every other week and we cut out the second shot that costs extra. They were fine with that as long as we can keep on track. So far so good. As for exercise, it is certainly encouraged. They did not expect us to start exercising right off the bat because of the dramatic change in eating/calories. The first couple of weeks are not easy but you can do it. We have been exercising regularly for about 3 weeks now. We have learned so much about eating properly and have received so much support and encouragement from the staff at our clinic. Your first week is low carb, high protein, if you lose enough weight you do get to eat veggies and fruit, but in reality you are training your body to lose weight and to eat right, hang in there.. I lost 3. 0 lbs in 2. I started this diet a week ago, was planning on weighing in a week, but had to cancel my appointment because of getting snowed in, so when I go back it will be two weeks. I did want to provide info about the cost though. I go to the clinic in Massachusetts. I signed up for start up, which cost $3. For that, I got the initial consult, including an EKG, body analysis, bloodwork, urinalisis, and a month supply of the suppliments. I got a cooler bag, and blender bottle, and a week's supply of appetitie suppresant. Also included are my next 3 visits, which normally cost $7. In my state, they do not give B1. B1. 2 . You have one per day, and melt it under your tongue. It tastes alot like a sweet tart. I was not pressured at all to purchase their shakes, they gave me guidelines for shake mixes, available at any health store, Target, or GNC typs of stores. I did decide to purchase one canister of theirs, just for ease. I will shop around as I use them, as they are just a bit pricey. This is certainly not an inexpensive program, but I do like it so far. |
